Gamma camera
The Compton camera using HPGe semiconductor detectors has finally been released in a portable version.
GeGI3, developed for homeland security, displays the location and types of radioactive materials on images captured by a CCD camera. The Compton camera used in GeGI3 has already been put to practical use in the medical field and astrophysics, but it has been released as the world's first portable type using Ge-Ge technology.
